Artworks used to create new artworks by Chad Wys

April 13, 2015

Chad Wys is an American artist who is using old artworks as a base for new creations. He is using both found physical pieces and for example prints of paintings etc to re-contextualise artworks. Wys combines classic pieces with graffiti – or as he calls it, mark-making – style, and the result is a contemporary, thought provoking, and fun. See his works here.

Some of Wys’s pieces have also been used to create fashion and decorative items, see here and more here.
